The Ultimate Seacoast Safari - Half Day Wildlife Cruise

Join us for The Ultimate Seacoast Safari! Enjoy a half day tour of some of the best that Anglesey and North Wales’ coast has to offer.

This cruise will take you out on our catamaran Salacia. With a maximum capacity of 10 passengers there's plenty of space to relax and the increased cruising speed means that you will get to the points of interest that bit quicker. As with all our boats Salacia has the added comfort of a toilet on board.

As with all our 'Deluxe' cruises you will have a Wildlife Guide out on deck with you.

Our intended route for this cruise will be the ‘Five Islands’ round trip tour along the East coast of Anglesey; taking in Puffin Island, Moelfre Island, Dulas Island, East Mouse and Middle Mouse, just off Cemaes Bay.

If the wind dictates a different route we have two other fantastic options, the skipper will make the decision on the day and you’ll be informed when boarding the exact route of your trip.

Our intended route will take in the Anglesey coast line starting with Puffin Island and passing historic landmarks such as Point Lynas lighthouse and the old brickworks at Porth Wen.

Expect to see an impressive array of wildlife along the whole route as birds come to and from their colonies, Ynys Dulas is a haven for seals and look out for harbour porpoise as we pass Point Lynas!

The highlight is Middle Mouse, the last island on the tour; Anglesey’s first ever gannet colony. Watch the gannets soaring above the island and over head, and other seabirds whizzing by and diving around the boat.

If our intended route is not possible then we’ll either take you down past Puffin Island and offshore towards mainland Wales and Conwy and as far as the impressive Great Orme at Llandudno, see all the seabird activity at Puffin Island as well as going further out to sea with the possibility of porpoise or dolphin; OR we go West down the Menai Strait passing Bangor Pier, the Cadnant Islands which are a haven for wading birds, under both famous bridges to Plas Newydd, Caernarfon Castle and out to Llanwyn Island passing the beautiful Newborough beach.

Departing from Beaumaris this cruise will take around 3.5 hours hours, the duration can vary slightly depending on the tidal conditions.

All seats £75. All passengers must book a seat, regardless of age. Please book all members of your party using the drop down selection.

Due to the length of this cruise we do not allow dogs on board, however dogs are welcome on all our other cruises.

Great way to see more of the Menai Strait and surrounding area.

We went on the 2 and a half hour afternoon cruise on a very hot day. It was a great afternoon out and we saw seals, puffins and various other seabirds. The skipper was very knowledgeable regarding various local shipwrecks. All in all a great outing.
